Group Again

I tried the breastfeeding support group again today. Still cried, but overall got a better feeling from the group. Partly because I wasn’t the only crier. Baby Spencer hasn’t gained much, only 4-5 ounces in two weeks. So, we are back to supplementing. The lactation consultant suggested three 2 ounce bottles per day for a week and see how that goes. I am going to try and get one pumping session in each day, probably in the morning. Then I will not be supplementing with just formula. If I can work up to enough pumping sessions to make the whole 6 ounces, well that would be awesome, but not at cost of the actual feeding at the breast. Extra pumping sessions would also help with the supply issues, it is just so hard to find the time.
